4. Can we get funding for treatment?
Short answer
For children
Ask a grown-up to talk to your care team — there's often help available to pay for things like your garments and appointments.
For parents &caregivers
Ask your healthcare team — support varies by country, and many families are eligible for help with costs they may not know about.

Funding arrangements differ between countries and healthcare systems. In many regions, some or all treatment costs — including compression garments, specialist appointments or physiotherapy — may be covered by public healthcare, insurance or charitable organisations. Your specialist centre, patient organisation or local lymphoedema association can advise on the support available where you live, and help you access funding if appropriate.
